HOKKAIDO Tracks held their inaugural golf day at Niseko’s beautiful Fukui course against a stunning autumn backdrop last week as snow starts to cap surrounding mountains.

The tournament was the casual Texas scramble format, meaning teams of four share their shots so beginners can participate (and potentially win) as well.

HT marketing manager Greg Hough said it would become an annual event held every autumn.

There are several other competitions held in Niseko throughout the green season as well as Niseko Golf Week, and there is talk of others being added to the calendar next year.

For the record, the winning team was made up of Hiromi Kimura, Chris Pascoe, Glen Claydon and Jeremy Churchill with a final score of one under par.
