A happy new year 2019!! I hope everyone had a great new year’s eve and enjoyed the fire works at the resort.
Today will be a special day. Niseko avalanche resort mentioned that they are trying to open the top gates today. It it opens, I will hike up to the peak, and enjoy untouched snow from the peak!
New Year season is the most significant season for the Japanese. Shrines and Buddhist temples are crowded with the people who visit to offer prayers for the new year. You will probably see many people in formal kimono style.
