By 22nd December 2009June 28th, 2014Niseko Snow Report

Approx 30cms fell in the last 24hrs, though with yesterday’s wind the cover will be inconsistent at best. In some places snow will have been scoured off the slopes – in others there may be deep snow banks (trees / gullies etc).

Today’s forecast calls for cold winds out of the west, lightening through the day, with scattered snowfalls. Expect similar conditions for the next couple of days.

Today they’re Avvy bombing for the first time this season which means the gates are getting set to open!  Perfect timing to imrove your backcountry knowledge so stick your head into Yuki Bar tonight from 6.00 till 7.00. The knowledgeable guys from Black Diamond will cover the basics of how to get a safer, better experience out in the steep deeps. Should be good night so come ’round!
