Niseko Snow Report // 19 January // 2012

By 19th January 2012June 28th, 2014Niseko Snow Report

Only a dusting over the last 24 hours separates this from a truly snowless day – though for most here the outstanding weather will make up for it. A great day ahead with unlimited visibility and views from the peak will stretch forever.

The same again expected today, and tomorrow; with some fresh snow (finally!) expected to return Saturday.

If you need fresh today you'll have to be prepared to look for it – and there won't be much left that's easily accessible. That doesn't mean you should be ducking ropes though as there are still great turns to be had!

There's lots of people in town at the moment so you might want to think about heading away from the traditionally crowded Hirafu. Annupuri is always much quieter and by the time you're high on the mountain getting between the resorts is wonderfully simple. A new adventure and a great day can be had by lifting up from one resort & skiing down into another. Even stay and have dinner there before catching the free (with your lift pass) bus back to your accommodation.

Check your lift movements here, or for the backcountry report check here.
