Niseko Snow Report // 27 January // 2012

By 27th January 2012June 28th, 2014Niseko Snow Report

Another great day on the hill with over 20 cms of light dry powder for you to enjoy. Hopefully those of you who were out till the wee small hours of the morning (celebrating India's Republic day was it?) are still able to get some turns in today.

We're looking for more intermittent snowfall through the day and into the evening today.

Coming days should bring more of the same in terms of snow, with the blustery wind easing somewhat. We're expecting most of the mountain to be open today – though if winds pick up they may interfere with lift operations somewhat. Check current lift movements here to be sure.

The upper gates (2 & 3) are expected to remain closed today but there's so much snow in easy-to-access sidecountry areas that you shouldn't have any problems finding freshies all day. Check the backcountry report here for more details. Please respect the patrol's decision and don't go ducking a rope or doing anything silly.

Have a great day out there!
