Another morning of blue skies and light overnight falls should see locals enjoying the end of March.
Spring is definitely here now and we're expecting today's sunny blue skies to remain for a few days yet. Great for goggle tans and end-of-season fun, you just gotta remember it's almost April and love this snow for what it is. It's great fun out there, we've got an amazing base depth, and it'll be the best skiing most of us will see until December! Make the most of it.
Current lift movements are here.
A big "O-tsukare" to Shinya and the crew for the Avvy reports through the season, and to the Ski Patrol and mountain staff that work to make Niseko the best & safest experience for all of us. These guys are a huge part of why Niseko remains Japan's No 1 resort and the best lifted powder on this planet.
I'd also like to extend my thanks to all the locals – both those born here and the imports from all over Japan and the world. The "Niseko" experience is so much more than just what happens on the hill, and none of that happens without you. Thanks.
I'm going to be signing off today, hopefully see you on the slopes still…
One last thing from my soapbox here:
If you've had a good experience here in Japan PLEASE give something back to the people who have made it so special… Japan is hurting now in a way that we can hardly comprehend. Think about how important the Japanese people were in making this season so special and drop a suitable donation in one of the many many donation bottles or appeals. They do need it, and it will help…
