Niseko Snow Report // March 11 // 2010

By 11th March 2010June 28th, 2014Niseko Snow Report

Wind up high is probably the talking point today coming out of the nor’nor’east which is a little unusual… No fresh to speak of. Cool temps means we shouldn’t lose much in the way of snow depth. The wind may interfere somewhat with lift / gondy running so keep an eye out so you don’t get stuck on the wrong side of the hill and have to bus back.

Tomorrow we are expecting a front to push up on us, warm things up a bit them dump precipitation. That should be heavy snow up high, but may well be preceded by some rain down at village height. If the winds do swing around to the south as expected, look to the northern faces & trees to benefit most from the dump.

Gates look like they’ll stay shut for most of the day. Check the latest info Avvy & backcountry info here before you step out past the edge of the resort, and understand there’s no patrol out there – you are on your own.

Still lots of fun to be had – get amongst it!
