Niseko Snow Report // March 21 // 2010

By 21st March 2010June 28th, 2014Niseko Snow Report

Well the wind which had pretty much closed the mountain has eased a bit and now there are a few more lifts open. Most are still lower height lifts so check here before you head up – simply click on your area within Niseko (Grand Hirafu / Niseko Village / Annupuri)

These winds should blow themselves out and after that we’ll be looking for some better snow, with tomorrow looking somewhat promising. I’d be looking for sheltered runs away from the wind still – you’ll probably find some nice deep pow stashes in there somewhere – just be aware that the rain may have left some steel hard ice under the surface.

Best options today: jump in an onsen, eat & drink too much, or take a run down to Otaru or Sapporo or something… or try all three!

All backcountry gates are closed for fairly obvious reasons.
