Niseko Snow Report // November 30 // 2010

By 30th November 2010June 28th, 2014Niseko Snow Report

Another good overnight fall saw 22 cms fall at the base of the Centre 4, partner that with this morning's clear weather and you've got a great day!

With more snow forecast during the week at this rate we'll be up to yearly averages in no time… if the cold temps hold. (There's a change coming thru late this week that we've got to keep an eye on.) When the lifts open – and it should be very soon now – have some fun on the marked trails while your body gets used to the whole sliding thing again.

A bit of breeze out of the west means that a lot of the snow that did come down will have settled in sheltered areas – it won't make much difference today but east facing tree covered slopes will have benefitted from the falls better than most. That said – please don't end your season before it starts by going amongst the trees chasing early tree turns. There's simply not enough of a base yet so it's still going to be crap, plus you've got a huge chance of a season-ending injury. Those crazy deep pow turns thru the trees will come…

Be patient my young Jedi!
