A dusting blew in overnight and little else, but village temps were down again which I guess we have to be thankful for. The current cold temps look like they've settled in – we just need some precipitation to go with them! And that needs to be in the fluffy white form!
Unfortunately lift operations are still on hold so I'd advise jumping on one of the day tours down to Otaru or Lake Toya etc, or for those with lots of energy to spare the mountains are still there and you can hike for some dramatic scenery or take an organised snowshoe hike.
