Niseko Snow Report // March 04 // 2010

By 4th March 2011June 28th, 2014Niseko Snow Report

Yesterday was marked by low clouds and consitent snowfalls, becoming isolated into the evening… Light snow continues to fall this morning and we're expecting more of the same into the afternoon. With great snow, better vis and less wind than yesterday, today should be a fantastic day to hit the hill.

After that skies should clear somewhat to leave Saturday even better again. We're looking for another front to push up on us Sunday night / Monday morning bringing still more snow through next week.

For current lift movements click your ski area here, and check the latest Avalanche and Backcountry report here before you head out through the gates, and if you are heading out always consult the patrol about your proposed route.

A series of concentrated and highly localised flurries were seen in the super course area last night. While initial reports appeared to point to Tatsu-maki (Whirlwinds) witnesses now agree they were simply Tatenai-craigie. Approach this dangerous and fast-moving phenomenon with care and four beers. Five if you want one…
