Niseko Snow Report // January 27 // 2010

By 27th January 2010June 28th, 2014Niseko Snow Report

For those of you that survived last night still able to read / walk / ski… the dominant feature today looks to be the wind,  getting stronger – expect lift operations to be impacted so check them here before you go up. Just click on the area you want to ride to see current lift movements.

This morning’s good snowfalls should continue into tomorrow – though it may be a bit heavy at lower altitudes. By tomorrow the winds should also have settled somewhat.

Expect the strong winds to also be building nice big cornices – just perfect for collapsing onto or under skiers, or to trigger scary big slides. Stay away ! The peak gates will probably remain closed but check the latest info here before you go.

Best bet: head to the trees to look for any pow the wind might have piled up in there.
