Niseko Snow Report // February 10 // 2010

By 10th February 2010June 28th, 2014Niseko Snow Report

About 15 cms of fairly light snow fell in the last 24 hours… Nothing to get excited about by Niseko standards but hell, Whistler would pay good money for that snow right about now! Heavy rain and warm temps are expected to mar the opening ceremony and first week of the Vancouver Winter Olympics… Ouch! That and the bankruptcy of the resort itself must have locals & investors tearing their hair out.

Back here in Niseko, today will be another good day on the slopes. Not a lot of wind around, a few fat flakes wafting down, the sun should even poke its face out on ocasions.

Similar conditions are forecast for the next few days – no huge dumps on the horizon but light frequent snow showers.

The peak gates look set to remain shut today, check here for details: http://niseko.nadare.info/ If you are stepping thru any gates, please make sure you are properly equipped and check with the Ski Patrol if you are unsure of local conditions or terrain.
