Another 15 cms fell last light – get up high where the cooler temps remain just that bit longer – at village height it seems to be dissappearing before my eyes!
This is spring, and though Niseko in March isn’t the Powder glory that it is in January you’ve got to be realistic – this is some of the best Spring skiing on the planet. Enjoy it for what it is, don’t rag on it for what it isn’t…
The next two days will see warmer temps at village level – moving around town now is so much easier. Up top should still be nice and cold though, a minimum of minus 15 over the weekend.
Some gates (4 & 6) should open around ten, with others dependent on local conditions. Check here for the latest Avalanche info. Be aware that faces copping more sun will be ice plates – use your head if backcountry trip planning.
