Last Sunday saw a strong field of 239 competitors surge up the 15.5 kms from Kutchan to Goshiki Onsen.
There was great representation from the local lads but in the end a rider from Asahikawa, Brian Barkhouse proved too strong for everyone.
The event itself went off without any major hitches thanks to the efforts of a small army of volunteers. Thanks to all of them. Most importantly, the participants all enjoyed the race and we’ll hopefully be able to do it all again – though bigger and better – next year.
