Niseko Snow Report // 15 December, 2009

By 15th December 2009June 28th, 2014Niseko Snow Report

It’s horrible up there today, so take it from me, stay in bed! On the hill the snow is chest deep in places making it sooooo inconvenient. The repeated face shots make it hard to see. And the deep snow means you can’t get a nice tight edge into the groomers… A perfect day for you all to stay in bed late, enjoy a late brunch, and make sure you don’t look outside till round about noon, because by that time I figure by that time I’ll be off the hill after an epic Niseko powder morning !

Last night it threw down and it’s still falling. By the look of things, this could be the start of something special, as this snowfall is expected to continue – sometimes heavier – for the whole week!

There’s a bit of breeze about, so it’s cold up high – rug up. The heavy snow may cause visibility issues. This amount of fresh snow can hide all sorts of things so be wary in the deep trees. There’ll be freshies for all pretty much all day so there’s no need to be ducking ropes.

This is Niseko. Enjoy.
