The much-anticipated annual Powderlife Best of Niseko Awards, have just been announced. The awards produced some surprises and several repeat winners. The prestigious "Best Fine Dining" award went down to the wire with Kamimura regaining his crown narrowly from The Barn. This tops off a top off a great year for Kamimura after he was recently awarded his first Michelin Hat.
Repeat winners included J Sekka (Best Coffee), Elvis Kebab (Best meal under ¥1,000), Rhythm (Best Retail Shop) and Sam Kerr (Best Backcountry Guide). New businesses including the Big Foot Lodge, Saika Yakitori, Temperance Bar and Ebisutei all had strong support.
