Tour de Hokkaido 2010 Spectator & Sponsors information site OPEN!!!
This month Niseko will host the second stage of the Tour de Hokkaido 2010, one of Japan’s biggest cycling events. About 100 cyclists from 20 top teams from home and abroad will be competing in this race. Come and cheer the sprint finish up the Hirafu-zaka. For this event to succeed it needs the support, participation and commitment of the local community. Thanks to all of the financial support from the local businesses and individuals, Hirafu-branch and NPB have made 1,000 small flags with the cycling “Jagata-kun” & Nikki, the official mascot from the Kutchan Town and Niseko Town, to cheer this world-class cycle event at Hirafu-zaka,. You can still support the event by offering special discount or services on the race day. Lots of tourists and cyclists are expected to gather on Hirafu-zaka on the day and we welcome you to offer street stalls or take-out items. -
Niseko Food and Photography Workshop @ J-Sekka, 19 September
J-Sekka will hold a collaborative Food-Photography workshop coming up on the 19th of September. It's a great opportunity for people to enjoy a 4-Course meal made with fresh, organic produce from the Niseko Green Farm and to have a three-hour tutorial in how to best photograph food (given by SHIMANUKI Yasu and Aaron Jamieson). Road blocks on Hirafu-zaka during Tour de Hokkaido
Due to the second stage of Tour de Hokkaido cycling race taking place in the area, there will be road blocks around the start/finish line on the Hirafu-zaka. Please note that any vehicles cannot enter nor go out the parking lots during the hours shown below.
