Niseko Snow Report & Forecast February 9, 2015

Lots of wind-affected fresh snow today, with high winds causing the upper lifts at Niseko United to close. Guides reported touchy backcountry conditions and unstable snowpack in many areas.

A consistent fall of snow expected overnight and into tomorrow (Tuesday/Feb. 10) with winds moderating through the day. Very cold temperatures to continue into tomorrow with lows of -10 expected.

Conditions Observed at Black Diamond Tours weather plot (250m) at  4:20pm

New snow in the last  24hours:  17 cm
Total snow at base: 190 cm
Temperature: -10°C
