It was dumping last night when I was driving home. It was windy and cold yesterday. Hopefully it calms down and all lifts open today. Once the top lifts open, there will be deep JAPOW….  Skiers better to wear the ski tracers to not loose your favorite ski. Snowboarders better to ride longer or wider board today.

Today is *Setsubun* in Japan. The literal meaning of the word Setsubun is “division of the seasons,” . It is believed that oni(devil) come when the seasons change in Japan. To get rid of the oni, we scatter roasted soy beans both inside and outside of our houses. Once the beans are thrown, gather them all up and eat the same number of beans as your age. Eat one extra to keep you from sickness and stay healthy for the whole year.

It will be a sunny weekend!! We need a litte sunshine sometimes.
