A light covering of new snow in the past 24 hrs and clear, calm conditions first thing this morning (Sunday 02 February).
The upper lifts opened for the first time in three days across the Niseko Resort Area but closed around lunchtime in Niseko United due to poor visibility and strengthening winds.
The temperature rose during the day making the powder heavier but Niseko Moiwa offered up creamy powder turns all day.
It’s drizzling at village level but the mercury is set to plummet over the coming days, getting as low as – 15 celcius.
And new snow will accompany the colder temperatures.
Starting your day at Niseko Annupuri or Niseko Hanazono tomorrow morning (Monday 03 February) is recommended with the Niseko Grand Hirafu lifts busy with Chinese New Year visitors.
