Niseko Snow Report, 24 March 2013

By 24th March 2013June 28th, 2014Niseko Snow Report

With about 4cm new snowfall overnight we've basically equalled 360niseko's snowfall tally of 15.3m from last year – 1533cm now to be exact. Who would've thought this season would be even bigger than last?! Temps are definitely warming up but it looks like there are a few flakes still to fall in the coming week.

There will be a soft blanket of snow up there today, perfect for beginners and families and surely a few fresh lines to be had for the powderhounds.

Most of the mountain is open right up to the peak. Shinya-san says the general risk of avalanche is low, but the risk of potentially fatal full depth slides in the bowls and Nishi-One is increasing. Read the full report here and take care.

If you're heading backcountry:

• Always check the avalanche report
• And familiarise yourself with the Niseko Rules
